现代世俗主义常假设科学与宗教信仰本质对立，但这是一个历史和哲学上的错误。现代科学恰恰诞生于基督教世界观之中——因为相信一位理性的上帝创造了一个有序的宇宙，所以自然界是可以被理性探索的。科学的方法论自然主义（methodological naturalism）适用于研究自然规律，但无法回答“为什么存在自然规律“这样的终极问题。科学和信仰回答的是不同层面的问题，不是竞争关系。

Modern secularism often assumes science and religious faith are fundamentally opposed, but this is historically and philosophically incorrect. Modern science was born within a Christian worldview — belief in a rational God who created an orderly universe made nature rationally explorable. Science's methodological naturalism works for studying natural laws but cannot answer ultimate questions like 'Why do natural laws exist?' Science and faith address different levels of questions; they're complementary, not competing.
